CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to look upon life with an experimental eye, know more about people and figure out how to use this wanderlust energy to power my day to day life. I want to grow plants and learn more recipes, and predictably, see every single corner of planet earth

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy person, I like to create a scene, get right into a deep conversation, to come up with creative solutions to world problems that we just might end up solving if we rise from our chairs. I love cooking rituals and to taste world cuisines, I love to perform and share my music and my caricatures with others. I'm opinionated and I try to make people laugh, sometimes succeeding. I think the greatest joys in life are found in sharing, in whatever form that might take.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience was revelatory, suprising, beautiful and instantly rewarding. I'd like to send out particular thankyous to the brave people who took me in as their first surfer, and those who took me in even though I was a first timer. And of course, the friends I've made who can come and stay with me any time!

Intereses

For as long as I've been on two legs I've been an artist, my childhood was spent with a biro and a sheet of paper. Recently I've diversified into music, playing guitar and singing for the last 15 or so years, with the euro-rock band Ben and the immigrants and then trying to become a better blues singer in several bands like Ben Jones and the Delta Bones and my recent solo act The Honeyboy Jones. I can hold a conversation on most visual art, a bit of music history and amateur geography. I'm a co-director of The Real Junk Food Project Birmingham, an organisation which saves food that is going to waste and serves it to people, to point out the tragic food waste that happens in our society. I also run Digbeth Improvised Songwriting Sessions, a group for people to get together with instruments and improvise music. Lastly, I have a real fondness for animals, having done a Natural History Illustration(Animal illustration) Degree and co-owning two schizophrenic cats.

Algo increíble que he hecho

One amazing thing I've done is hitchhike 5,600 miles around the U.S.A(And if you're going to count other countries hitchhiked in, France, Scotland, Turkey, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Ireland, Poland and good old England!). Hitchhiking is all the most beautiful things in life amplified. Trust, spontaneity, openheartedness, generosity and adventure, all these things live in that amazing art of getting a ride.

Let's see, I can feasibly teach....Ukulele, guitar, cartooning, illustration, dumpster diving, singing, and...ahh....a few accents I suppose! Oh, and applied hitchiking.
