ABOUT ME

I have an American mother and an English father. I was born in England but lived in Germany as a child. I moved back to England shortly before starting secondary school.

At university I studied history and political philosophy, with an interest in early modern Europe and the colonial era. After graduating I was offered a job by a law firm who sent me to law school. I have now completed those postgraduate studies and am working as a lawyer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before starting my career I spent five weeks Couchsurfing in France and it was the best experience of my life. Although I am now too busy to travel as much as I would like, I now have my own place and will soon start hosting Couchsurfers so that the world can visit me!

Interests

Weightlifting, hiking, cooking, reading, meeting new people, early modern European history, photography, philosophy, football (I support Manchester United), playing the guitar and harmonica -- sometimes at the same time!
