About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am learning to love people better every day.
ABOUT ME
I love people. I'm constantly finding new ways of interacting with all different kinds of people. Which is why this decision came about.
I believe there is strength in being independent, but that we should never take for granted the strength we can find in each other.
I don't know exactly what I want to do with my life--which is new for me...I've had it mapped out since I was in 3rd grade...--but I do know I don't want to live a typical American lifestyle. I'm not looking to get a comfortable job and big house. Not that I look down on people that do. I just can't see myself being happy in a situation like that. I'll continue an education in the things that interest me, and we'll see where that takes me.
No major decisions tonight, at least...
PHILOSOPHY
I'm learning about living life better every day. My two main goals: to love and to learn. Let's learn life together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I grew up in a family where our bond to each other was more important than anything else. It's because of that, I think, that community has become such an important part of my life. Living in community offers us a chance to love and learn from one another, which are two of the most important qualities of life. If we can all learn to love better and humble ourselves to learn from each other, think of how our world would change. I am offering a small piece of that in opening my home to you. I can't wait to love and learn with you.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although this is my first time participating, I have great friends that live down the street who have participated for awhile. Being with them inspired me to join because they have such a heart for community and people...which is exactly why I joined! I can't wait to meet you!
Interests
I'm interested in science--my major is Chemistry.
I love children--something about their ability to laugh, their ability to build the most extravagant land with a blanket and a place to hang it, their ability to love you in spite of...they've always fascinated me.
I love the Spanish language. I love how it flows, and I love the way it feels when I speak it. Everything is more beautiful in Spanish.
I love families of any shape and size. Something about having people around who are just going to be there for you to listen and love and critique...it's beautiful.
I love when friends become like family, which should happen more often, in my opinion.
I love this planet and am trying more and more to do my best to be a better steward.
I love long conversations where everyone can participate, and nothing of great importance is really talked about, but you come away feeling like you've solved the problems of the world.
I love coffee, laughter, greeting cards, and my twin sister.
I could go on and on, obviously. Come stay with me. Let's find out more about each other.
