COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a number of people, and have ended up with some great friends through it. Traveling, my couchsurfing experience has only been in China, but the experience was amazing. This community is generous, unassuming, accepting and every person I met was wonderful

Interests

I appreciate good music, good food, good scotch, good wine, good beer, good restaurants.
I travel any chance I can.
I used to ride motorcycles, had two and tried to get out every year for at least one good long ride. Now I have a roadster and enjoy going for long rides with the top down, feeling G-force in the twisties!
I admire good design, and believe in the value of a good architect over my own ability to design.

Music, Movies, and Books

Read a lot.
I write.
Watch movies rather than television.
Music is my life. I play and sing, run a music club, listen to Jazz first because it challenges, but love anything except pop and new country. Though I love the traditional styles of Bluegrass and Blues. I admire any musician that is outstanding and has taken his/her craft to raise the bar for all music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Antarctica saw penguins and Leopard seals. I was deep in the Amazon jungle at a gold mine. Sailed through the Northwest Passage and lived through two hurricanes at sea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I mentor my cooking and serving staff to be good at their jobs, and to be cool people. I know how to cook because I am a professional. I write because I like a good story.
