ABOUT ME
I'd like to think I'm an easy-going, simple person. Quite easy to get along with. Like the outdoors, cars, motorbikes, football, and love travelling. I can comfortably chat away with like-minded people and I do make friends easily.
Quite happy to go to the park or for drinks in town or if you're into it, would love a bit of swimming and cycling.
I like gigs and try to catch up with my favourite bands when they're around.
Have I mentioned I love travelling?! I aim to continue to do that and hopefully see more and more of the world.
I've got a motorbike. A Triumph Street Triple. And I love it to bits.
PHILOSOPHY
How hard can it be?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd be happy to show someone around even if I'm not able to host. I love travelling and I believe exploring a new place with guidance from a local is much better than going to a hotel and taking the tour bus.
Getting lost is also exploring!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have used couchsurfing to travel across and make new friends in Japan, New Zealand, the US and parts of Europe. I'm a social person and have no problems chatting away about pretty much any topic (well, I might be a bit out of depth at serious politics and theology!).
Interests
I like sketching and pencil shading.
Playing with motorbikes/bicycles, and going out on a Sunday morning ride in the back lanes!
I play football for a local club.
Some specific TV series (like Sherlock/Blandings/etc.) if bored.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Metallica, The Pineapple Thief, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Blackfield, Bass Communion, Ludovico Einaudi, and many more.
Books: Robert Ludlum, Steig Larsson, Sydney Sheldon, Jeffrey Archer, Douglas Adams, some biographies of people in the recent history. I read quite a few car, bike and bicycle magazines to keep up (I admit they are not books of course but the sheer amount of stuff makes it worth mentioning I thought!)
Too many movies to list. But I know I'm not the biggest fan of mindless action and slapstick comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went swimming in the Salarpur lake in Hampi over Christmas 2012.
Drove through Transfagarasan and Transalpina highways in Romania in summer 2012.
Rode on the motorbike from London to Amsterdam in an amount of time that would be seem a bit unbelievable.
Have been trekking in the Himalayas as a child which was amazing.
Recently travelled one circle around the world in 40 days!
Teach, Learn, Share
Well! We all learn and teach everyday.
I'm an automotive engineer. So I love talking about cars, motorcycles, bicycles and working on them and playing with them.
I'm into pencil sketching, abstract art, modern minimal design. So if you like any of this, I think we are good to chat!
I'd love to learn to play the guitar at some point. Simple acoustic guitar to begin with!
I love languages. I can spend all day talking about etymology related topics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Ideas, thoughts and perhaps even dreams!
I always carry something to eat/drink from the place I start my journey (usually the UK or India). So you can expect to taste something delicious from these places.
I also try to carry a small gift item from my home country to give to my host as a memorabilia.
