À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

I'm currently studying at a 75% workload a degree in Theology at an idependent Bible College. Although this is challenging, it's also quite interesting and is helping me grow in my faith. I work casually as a medical receptionist with shifts at random hours- due to the centre being open 7am-10pm. Other than work, I like to hang out with friends, whether it's dinner and a movie, or playing boardgames late into the night. I'm also quite involved at my church, leading a youth group and being involved in other weekly activities.

Hopefully I would have some time to show you around, because I would love to show you my beautiful city!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life to glorify God and love others in all that I say and do.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted people in Australia, and have surfed twice in Europe so far. All experiences have been great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoyed hosting people last time I lived in Australia, and would really love to host again. It just depends on my schedule and my housemate! I really want to experience places from the point of view of the locals rather then the common 'tourist' point of view. Couchsurfing is great for this type of travel!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Do you ever get overwhelmed by the amount of books/moveis/music that there is in the world? I just think it's amazing! That said, it's so hard to choose favourites, but here's some stuff I enjoy:

Movies- I like a range of movies and enjoy both those that make you think as well as those that are totally predictable. I tend to like movies that score low on movie review websites because they have no storyline. I like these because you don't have to think and it's a great way to unwind and relax.

Music- I will enjoy most music except for Opera and music where people scream. That said, I enjoy 'girlie pop' the most.

Books- pretty much any book with a murder in it. This might sound a bit grim, but I love not knowing what is happening and trying to work out things as you get more and more information. Favourite authors for this genre include Agatha Christie and Kathy Reichs. I also enjoy reading books with some history in it. There's a great Australian author, Belinda Alexanda, that I love.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I spent a gap year in the Netherlands in 2006, after I finished school. It was so great getting to know the culture and people and really see the place as someone who lived there rather than just a tourist. I also had the chance to do a bit of travel while I was there, which was awesome! I loved it so much, I went back and lived there again for another year in 2012/2013.

I'm trying to think of things to put in here and am coming up mostly blank. I would love to have a chat though to get to know about you and where you're from and your experiences.
