Overview
About Me
I am a quiet person who likes to listen to people sharing stories about their lives.
Sassiness is the character that I am told to possess, but I am in general a polite person.
Playing board games, cycling around and watching birds are my favorite hobbies.
Currently I study Erasmus Mundus master degree in ecology in Kiel, Germany.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend took me couchsurfing in France once and I really liked it.
The hosts were very nice and shared their knowledge on french cheese and etc. We found it very interesting and realized that there were much french culture we did not know about even though at that time we had already studied there for 5 months.
Later on I realize that it is because I did not really "live in" the country. Most of my friends are like me, international students, so I know a lot better about Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Nepal, India, and Vietnam than about France. Spending time with the people is the best way to experience the country.
Now that I am in Germany , I want to know more about it through travelling and couchsurfing.
Also, I want to practice my German while doing it.
Interests
- cooking
- board games
- birdwatching
Music, Movies, and Books
Notting hill is probably my favorite movie.
I always like romantic comedy and in my opinion Hugh Grant is one of the best actor in that genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not that I have done something great, but experienced something unforgettable for sure.
I once jumped on a Russian train in France accidentally. My friend and I only knew that we had taken the wrong train after the train already started moving slowly. To my surprised,t he train attendant started speaking Russian to us. I was so panic at the time being, but fortunately my friend from Kazakhstan speaks fluent Russian.
Luckily the conductor was very nice to us and let us stay on the train. In the end we safely arrived Paris from Strasbourg as we supposed to, just with a different train.
