I have got a really exciting adventure while I was in Tennessee Tech University as an exchange student. My adventure began from two and a half years ago. After I finished my 2nd year final exam, I was depressed. I wasn't sure that I could pass the exam with credit or not. According to the education system here, the second year students weren't allowed to attend the engineering school if they don't get credit. I went to the library everyday, and join several discussions. I really didn't know how to do that time. To make it short, I got the information about the scholastic opportunity from the library. I applied it but didn't get any acceptation from the United States, cultural Affair center. It was funny that I applied that just only for taking an air-plane. I didn't feel anything that time though I always dreamed of going abroad to study. I failed in the first time. I gave a shot in the next year, and I got the invitation letter for the interview. I passed the interview and had to sit for the TOEFL test. I had never seen a TOEFL test before and got 3 weeks to study. It was exciting to know that I was qualified for both the interview and the TOEFL. My voice was not normal when I got the phone for the interview. I got the email about the qualification for the TOEFL. I didn't know to laugh or cry. It was my dream to study abroad but on the other hand, I would have to stop my school for a year. I really did well in my mid-term which finished in the first week of April and I knew my result in the 2nd week of April. As soon as I knew my result, I informed my parents. They didn't know that I applied for that though my dad sign the paper for me when I applied the form. Then I called my friend who applied the program with me. I informed her that both of us were qualified for that. Then a month later, I got an email from Tennessee Tech University. At that time, we didn't know our university yet. It was nearly mid-night while I got the email. I showed my cousin and I noticed that I had to do the medical check. I started worried again since it's not 100% sure to study abroad and if I failed in the medical check up and visa, I would be in the middle of nowhere. That worried me a lot. During these periods, we were called to meet other students who got the scholarship like me. All together, there were 9. We met in the embassy and talked about our experience. These guys are really funny and friendly. I like most of them. When I knew that I would have to leave Myanmar on 28th July if I got the visa approval. Most of the students departure time weren't the same. I had to go there alone. That didn't make me worry a lot. When I was afraid that time was the visa confirmation. A few weeks before I applied visa, my friend who would go there with environmental program, had to cancel for his program. His visa was denied and it worried me a lot. He is a clever guy and I couldn't believe that his visa was denied. I feel bad for him and kinda feel guilty since he helped me a lot when I was doing the online application. I felt time I wasted his time 2 days before his visa interview. I have to admit that I had lots of pressure on that. Also, after I knew that I had to stop my university, I didn't go to school regularly and didn't study a lot. The medical check up was successfully done but still I had to face the visa interview. Luckily that time, I had to go for interview with one of the participants. We were both worried. It was a long time for me in the day of visa interview. My mom came with me and she was waiting for me outside the United States Embassy. She was also worried but not as nervous as me. I arrived the Embassy 2 hours early and waiting to enter the embassy building for nearly 2 hours. I had to pass several gates in order to sit for the interview. My friend arrived later and she had to meet with the consular first. There were nearly 40 people waiting in the building. It was raining outside and there was a TV showing the news. It was a small room and it had nearly 50 chairs and 4 doors for the interview. There was also a restroom which I had to go several time. It would be funny for others but I was really nervous. Though I was nervous, I had to encourage my friend since she was more serious. After a few people, the consular called her name and it was me after that. She finished after a min and when I met the consular, he asked my name, how did I apply the program and then suddenly he asked me about my uncle in law who stayed in California. He asked several questions about him and my heart beat wasn't normal. Suddenly, he said, "O.k, your visa is approved. Come and get your passport at 3.". I smiled and say "Thank you" It was all the thing that I could say. Finally it's done. My friend was looking at my face and when she saw that she knew we did it. We met my mom at the cafe beside the embassy. Then my friend and I went to the Inya Lake to relax. After that day, I started to pack my things, buying the food that I would like to take and buy postcards. I was ready for my new adventure.

P.S: I would continue to update this after a few days
