Here are some tips for travelers who come to Saigon:
In Tan Son Nhat airport, we have free wifi.
Our currency: 1usd is about 22900 dong (officially you can only use Vietnamese dong in Vietnam. Of course, there are some places that accept USD).
Buy a sim card: http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Vietnam
Bus from/to airport: http://en.sats.com.vn/tan-son-nhat-airport-bus
Airport to/from city center (district 1): bus 152 (go to column 15, near Burger King, 5000dong, 6am-8pm) or bus 109 (column 12, 20.000 dong, 5:30am-1:30am) or shuttle bus 49 (40.000 dong, 5am-1:30am). It runs every day, 15-20 minutes each, about 45 minutes from air port to city center. Bus 152 stops in Trung Son bus station (not in the city center), bus 109 will stop in Saigon bus station (next to backpacker's area). Shuttle bus 49 starts from airport to the city center and go back to air port.
Airport to/from Eastern bus station (up to the North): bus 159. This bus runs from Eastern bus station to An Suong bus station and passes by Tan Son Nhat airport in its route, 5:30am-8: 25 pm, 25-30 minutes each, 7000dong.
Airport to/from the Western bus station (to go to Mekong Delta area): bus 119, 4am-9pm, 12.000 dong (<5km)/20.000 dong.
Grab, Bee, Goviet are very popular here in Saigon. We also have Grabbike, Bebike and Go-bike for a cheaper option
