About Me

I am a Ph.D. student at Extremadura University in Caceres, Spain.🧑‍💻

I like to travel, mostly by myself, with the flow. My friends say I'm extroverted and quite talkative around🤷🏻. I would like to believe that this is true, whereas I would describe myself as calm, open-minded, and determined, I like people enjoying their life, doing something, anything, instead of complaining. In my daily life, I try to follow the idea once expressed “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”

I have been involved in social activities such as some festivals, hostel works, volunteering for NGOs, and some farm work (workaway). I can't even count how many hours I've spent volunteering so far, it's always been very satisfying and meaningful to me.
I have traveled and will travel the world alone. I have taken my backpack and dragged myself on the road, with the flow into the unknown. I'm always ready for an adventure, so far I have traveled to 15 countries mostly by hitchhiking thousands of kilometers. Every day I pushed myself to the limit, excited about new adventures, stayed with the locals, gained insights about people's different lifestyles, and experienced how they drive their lives.

I have done some experimental analysis during my adventure, I wanted to see what happened when I took money out of my life, etc. If I don't have money to have something, how can I get it? Sometimes, I have asked about leftovers from the restaurant or helped with their basic task (cleaning, etc, or sharing my adventure). I would like to share with you a very small aphorism as feedback from what I learned on the way: people will never reject you, people will reject that idea you represent! So don't take rejection personally. All I'm saying is that traveling this way gave me fewer options, so I had the opportunity to meet people I wouldn't have met in my daily life, and it also taught me to get close to people, overcoming the fear of rejection. I always remind myself to give more than I get.

"I'd like to see your world, my world, and the world through your eyes. As M. Proust puts it "the only true voyage of discovery, would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes, to behold the universe through the eyes of another.

I hope to find friendly and thoughtful people to talk with about everything from books and shows to history and philosophy. I'm excited to learn more about what it is like to live in other countries and to simply have someone with which to exchange thoughts and ideas.

Finally, Couchsurfing is not Tinder. 🥂😉

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every person has a different story. I would like to cross as many people's paths as I can. I would like to laugh with them, share my experiences,

✔️Meet people from around the world
✔️Learn about new cultures
✔️Gain an understanding of different ways people live and what drives this lifestyle
✔️Make lifelong friends all over the globe
✔️Meet people who share the same obsession--I mean passion--for travel, history, and culture
✔️Spend time with like-minded locals and have experiences I would never feel like a "tourist"

Low-budget traveling gave me some of the best experiences ever since I had a chance to meet the local people and share the authentic local experience with them.
