ABOUT ME

The more I travel, the more I realize how little I have seen and how little I know. When I'm on the road I feel like myself: energetic, stimulated and fully alive . When I'm not on the road all I think about is how bad I need to get back out again. I love learning about others and reveling in the differences and similarities we all have.

I love to read and learn and think, but I also love to go out at night and get into life after the sun goes down.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am excited to be a member of couch surfing, so that I can get to know places I am visiting a bit deeper than the surface by staying and speaking with someone who already lives there. Once I am a bit more stable I will enjoy opening up my couch for fellow travelers and show them the same generosity and hospitality that was shown to me when I was traveling. I think the idea of couch surfing in itself is such a great concept and challenge to engage directly with the hosts of the place you are visiting or hosting someone and acting as a representative of your city/country/etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have many friends who are well connected as established in the couch surfing community as hosts and visitors. From the outside there seems to be a bit of skepticism, but after my first couch surfing experience in Cape Town last year I was hooked and could see why people are so excited about this network.

Intereses

Traveling! Climbing mountains, swimming, surfing, playing music, reading, going to concerts, enjoying artwork, talking to people, making new friends, seeing new places, learning about new cultures and challenging and fostering my own beliefs in the process.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Going to a thousand person party in almost complete darkness in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010. The will to live and thirst for life seems greatest after great tragedy.

Walking for days in the Peruvian Andes in utter solitude surrounded by nothing more than glaciers and 20,000 ft peaks.
