ABOUT ME
Sometimes cliches are true. I'm just another yuppie enviro-wannabe, hopelessly optimistic and eager to "be the change," while subconsciously scared to death that I might not be as cool, as funny, or as intelligent as I think I am.
I love Hoosiers and wifi and I eat organic food. I love history books about nothing, which I totally relate to and if it makes me laugh, I'll buy it. I like to build things and make things, as long as they have a practical purpose, but they have to be beautiful. I like to garden and ride my bike. I support public television.
I quit my job to travel for a year and live in a van. Now I'm in grad school.
On a good day, you can find me working out, cooking and making travel plans with friends. On a bad day you could find me waist deep in a beer at the GP. Now, it's summer and I've got 4 months to travel and recharge.
I like boys and yoga and I think I'd like goji berries if they weren't so tart. I like chocolate, food and anything having to do with ski/board sports and camping.
I love sleep and dogs, but I hate *ssholes and mean people. I like biodiesel and road trips. I hate scary movies but I love halloween! I once ran from an elephant in South Africa, hunted alligators in the Amazon and built a sandcastle on the beaches of New Jersey.
I like window shopping and burlesque but most of the time I'm happy.
They say I'll never work in this town again, but I'm pretty sure it's not big enough for the both of us, so I think I'll just get out of Dodge while I still can.
PHILOSOPHY
The world's not that far away.

Music, Movies, and Books
You'll judge me, won't you?
Books: Dave Eggers, David Sedaris, Peter David...all the Dave's really.
Music: Pandora tells me what I like and don't like.
Movies: Sitcom DVDs, Ted.com and anything with a review that calls it "Scintillating!" or "A triumph!"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A homeless guy gave me an empty pizza box the other day.
Amazing!
(If you come to Berkeley, you'll see. It's just one amazing thing after another)
p.s. I don't live in Berkeley anymore, but somehow I still find this relevant.
Teach, Learn, Share
never go through a Paris Metro turnstile with your bag behind you. Don't litter just because the locals do. Take your malaria pills. Call your mother often.
