About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel to exotic, distant lands, meet exciting, unusual people, and to crash on thier sofas.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Austin, Texas, then moved to Los Angeles, where I worked as a voice over actor and animator. In 2005 I decided to see the world and teach English as a second language. Since then, I've lived and taught in Korea and the Czech Republic.

Always itching to travel, I'm not sure where I'll end up next.

PHILOSOPHY

That which does not kill you may still hurt like hell, but it's still worth the risk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to meet intriguing people. Cultural exchange, sampling the local cuisine, and conversations about saving the planet are all good.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met a few fellow couch surfers in Prague and Vienna, but we only met for a drink. I will be willing to offer my couch...when I have one.

Interests

traveling, film, reading, writing, beer, stimulating conversation while drinking beer, hiking, meditation, live music, tossing the Frisbee on the beach, etc., etc.

In random order: Tropic of Cancer, Martin Scorsese, Monty Python, Hunter S. Thompson, Hiruki Murikami, The Eels, The Clash, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis...the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met a Polish monk in a Starbucks on a beach in S. Korea. The Korean woman I was with gave him a lecture on eating cheese cake because it has animal products in it. He shrugged and kept eating his cheese cake.

Not amazing, maybe, but pretty weird. Still looking for that Amazing Experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to animate and how to make pretty damn good guacamole. It's been said that I can teach English, too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
