About Me

Hi, I am Amy. Welcome to Viet Nam
My name is Le My. I'm a wife and mother of 2 cute sons

I own a coconut handicraft production company. From June 2022, I was lucky to receive support, share, and help from volunteers on Couch and neighbors in our village to build an area to visit coconut handicrafts, camp, sculpture class, plant, and harvest vegetable, and experience local culture, especially not using plastic stuff in my hometown Ben Tre - Mekong Delta - Vietnam.

After a lengthy trial, I launched my new Ecoco Home project. In this project, I still always welcome friends from Couchsurfing but I hope you understand to give me a hand to share a little cost. This cost is paid for handicraft women, farmers, fishers, and sculptors... who will guide you to join almost any activity at Ecoco.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After all the loss of the world, it is exciting to let the free sky join us again. When you come to Mekong Delta, I am very happy to share with you the accommodation in Yescoco -Coco Eco-Tourism. Besides, in addition to sharing accommodations and guiding to discover local tourism as before, I am calling for volunteers to build an area to visit traditional Coconut handicrafts together with all the ideas, especially not using plastic stuff. I think that is very helpful for us in our journey to return the green planet to nature. With the desire to be more diverse in the application of coconut shells, and coconut wood in the manufacture of household products to replace plastic in all activities, we would love to receive your sharing and great ideas about alternative applications of plastic in other countries.

I started my business 5 years in the production of household handicrafts, which is the traditional profession of my family. In a time when plastic and metal dominated, my father's traditional profession fell out of favor and was almost impossible to develop. The desire to have no plastic has pulled me to inherit and develop my father's profession. I love crafting because it motivates me to be creative every day and my products are widely used to replace plastic in daily life.
