About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make a film in China!

ABOUT ME

I am living for almost a year now in Berlin. Before I studied for three years in NY, where I graduated with a MA in Media Studies. Now in Berlin I work as a youth educator and I am making my own films. My films have been mostly documentaries or experimental films on 16mm or Super 8mm. This year I will be shooting a documentary project in China. Of course it's super low-budget, but at least I have total creative control ...

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy and appreciate what I have and what I do. Live in the present and stop worrying what should have/ could have happened.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past I participated by hosting or meeting people, but I didn't had the resources in NY and stopped using CS for a while. I just met a old friend again, who I knew through CS, and that reminded me how great the platform is. Now in Berlin I plan to participate by hosting and meeting people again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started using Couch Surfing when I was living in Brazil and I met some really nice people. I got the chance to spent a holiday weekend with a family at their grandparents farm and to eat every kind of traditional homemade food. I am still in touch with some of the people I met on CS and we continue to visit each other.

Interests

I love to go to the movies. I also love second hand stores, flea markets, coffee and waffles afternoons, good book stores, cake, filming and taking pictures, meeting people, Chinese dim sum and traveling of course...

I'm not so up to date with music, but I like Cat Power, Joanna Newsom, Animal Collective, Lou Reed and Sunset Rubdown ...

Authors I like are David Foster Wallace, Naomi Klein, Chuck Klosterman & Hermann Hesse. I also love the German weekly newspaper "Die Zeit".
