About Me
Hello! Couchsurfing really changed my life when I was cycling across many different countries in my 20's and found generous people around the world who invited me into their homes, their lives, and their communities. I'm now a bit older, married, and traveling a bit less, but hopeful I can provide some similar experiences for travelers out there. I especially want people of color and LGBTQ folks to know they are welcome in this house.
I love the outdoors, especially hiking, cycling, long distance backpacking and bikepacking trips. If you're on a big bike tour, you are especially encouraged to stop by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It started by hosting a few people at my old apartment in Madison. Then while riding my bike across Europe in the summer of 2005 I stayed with a handful of different hosts, all of them awesome people and now good friends. Since then I have hosted a handful guests while living in Paris and Madrid. Then I continued as a couchsurfer during a stint in Latin America. Couchsurfing has lead to lifelong friendships all over the world.
Interests
The New York Times, snowboarding, photography, travel writing, international relations, indie rock, hip hop, mountain biking, traveling, cooking with friends, good espresso in the morning and beer at night, fresh air, passionate people.

I did a bike tour across Europe in 2005, I mountain biked the Colorado Trail in 2019, and my wife and I hiked the John Muir Trail in 2020.
