ABOUT ME
Heyooooooooooooooooooooo!
So aye, I'm Hugh. I grew up in the North East of England but I currently live in Glasgow, Scotland. I'm a poetry and fiction writer, artist, and musician here. I think I'm quite nice. I always try my best.
I'm involved in DIY punk and folk music and poetry scenes internationally and perform wherever and whenever I can as well as putting on shows.
Here's a project I started recently called 'the current like our lips keeps moving fast' : http://tclolkmf.tumblr.com
Maybe you'd like to contribute!
As well as music, I'm a visual artist and writer, regularly producing drawings and currently working on my first novel.
I don't eat animals. But I love to cook a whole host of veggie treats! If you'll let me share my crispy tomato tofu with you then I promise you won't regret it.
Academically speaking, I'm a sociologist. If you want we can chat about ethnography and existentialism all night. Or any other topic of your choice :)
I'm addicted to skip-diving. My room is full of so many reclaimed and salvaged items! I once found a working polaroid camera with a full film. I went wild. I can teach you how to live for almost free.
Let's share poetry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started regularly participating by hosting people in 2010 while I was living in Cambridge in a communal house with a group of some of my closest friends who are all also couchsurfers. I've since used Couchsurfing and HelpX whilst travelling throughout Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Austria and the U.S.A.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosting and surfing I have met some truly generous and kind people... and a couple of boring ones. and an ogre. but it's great. variety is the spice of life and all that :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love a memory i have of scavenging potatoes that the farmer left behind our house with my dad when i was four.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you to break down socially constructed boundaries that unnecessarily divide and constrain us.
you can teach me how to dance.
