I'm Hugh, and I have just graduated from the University of Suffolk in Early Childhood Studies. I have spent the last 9 months working, as a Manual Labourer and a Customer Assistant for a supermarket, to earn money for travelling. I have considered teaching abroad in the past and am hoping that travelling around Asia will help me make a decision on this!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently created my couchsurfing account as me and my friend will be travelling around Australia in March. He highly recommended couchsurfing to me as it's a great way to meet new people when going abroad. I enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures! I therefore hope couchsurfing will help me make the most of travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy watching all movie genres, but have a certain taste in music. I mainly listen to synth pop and alternative R and B, with my two favourite music artists being Mura Masa and HONNE. My favourite movies are Spirited Away and The Road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017 I travelled around Europe for four weeks with three of my friends via train. We travelled from London to Paris, then Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Venice, Milan and lastly Zurich. It was my first travelling experience from which I created amazing memories that will last forever. This has therefore made me want to travel more often.
