ABOUT ME

I like to try things & to learn. When teaching I taught outside specialties - when writing I rise to challenges - if people offer new opportunities, I accept after due consideration.
Am interested in my family, my neighbours & the world as it presents. Have faith that opportunities will present as long as I draw breath.
(In recent times have bade farewell to aunt at 103, mother at 98, partner's mother at 78 )

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted people from all over in the '70s - made a first trip to Europe in 2011 & contacted folk in this community - & now have hosted surfers of various ages in Auckland & Northland including new CS friends with more planning to come

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Friends - what better way to catch up.
Before the 2011 month in Europe the visits were all NZ + two midlife weeks in Sydney & Melbourne.
Have struggled a bit with French but get there - with my beginner level better than my smattering of polite vocab from other languages, learned from travelling and visitors.
