About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Berlin, du bist so wunderbar.
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty easygoing and humorous person, and I enjoy studio art and graphic design. I graduated from New York University in 2009 right as the economy crashed... so I took the opportunity to live in and explore Europe. It's something I had wanted to do my whole life but have never before been able to. I lived in Paris for two years while working as an au pair, and then lived in Berlin for six months looking for work (found some actually, but sadly my visa was denied). In between, I backpacked around everywhere and had my first experiences Couchsurfing. I really hope to move back to Europe again one day!
I moved back to the US in 2012. I currently live in NYC and work at an advertising technology start-up. I'm starting to learn web design and hope to start freelancing this year.
Hmm, what else. I'm a pretty optimistic and a very considerate person, I come from a crazy big family so it's made me pretty easy to get along with. I'm short... probably like sports and wine too much... and am pretty laidback, really independent, liberal/feminist, and easy to talk to.
PHILOSOPHY
After all, tomorrow is another day
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Even though I am unable to host people, I have participated through meeting up with and showing around other CS'ers traveling in NY. However. I would say my biggest participation was by being hosted by wonderful people throughout Europe when I Interrailed August 2010. I really think that Couchsurfing made my experience amazing... I met the coolest people and learned so much about different cities and histories by staying with those who knew them best. I try to spread the word about Couchsurfing as much as I can. I can't say enough good things :)
**I'll be going to Europe for a quick little trip in November 2013, and would like to participate again :)**
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't even know how to start... Couchsurfing has just been incredible so far! I was hesitant at first, but this system just works! I've met the most awesome people and by staying with other couchsurfers, I've gotten to have such great and memorable experiences in the cities I've visited. It's great to be able to make such an impact on the experiences of travelers.
