About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To begin conversations that are worth having...

ABOUT ME

I live in Hanford, in the San Joaquin Valley of California, where I work for the Institute for Film E and have a documentary film company (www.timelinefilms.com). I have also worked as a freelance musician.

Most of my travel has been at least partially work-related. I am married, and my wife, Francie, sometimes travels with me. I love theatre, film, music (especially classical and folk), reading, learning, adventure.

I consume inordinate amounts of black coffee, but I am really a very laid back person. I like cats.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in freedom and kindness.

Over my 61 years I have come to believe that kindness to others is the one of the rarest most valuable traits a person can have.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done: I've been conducting orchestra scores for old silent movies. In live performance, its the best rush I've ever had!!

Seen: Fall in Slovakia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair amount about early film history, and I love to share that knowledge. I can talk until I'm blue in the face... or the other person is green at the gills... so I also don't mind stopping whenever asked!!!

I love learning almost anything.
