About Me

Hyah !
I'm a 28yo french-canadian student currently studying in Paris for my PhD in political science.

About me: I’m a pretty down to earth guy, who will either come with you to see a concert, sit down and talk politics/TV shows/music all evening with a teapot or cook a nice Thai/Mexican/French meal. I'm also into climbing and biking, so I can either belay you or work (a little bit) on your bike.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think it is the best way to meet awesome people, to get to know the best things to do and see in a lot of places, to talk with people from different perspectives about the big and small things of life and to simply to be able to live beautiful adventures - even when you're not expecting it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm a big hip hop head (old school, indie, cloud rap, political stuff, etc.), with a folk side (bluegrass, indie folk). I also have roots in metal (trash and death mostly) with a touch of hardcore. And since I'm a grad student, the thing I listen to the most is probably post-rock, for reading & writing.

Books: sci-fi guy here. Currently into Ian M. Bank's Culture Cycle. Among others favorites: Frank Herbert, Dan Simmons, Kim Stanley Robinson, Ursula K Le Guin. In general I like big sagas and books that propose alternative visions of our society. Also into lots of political books, of course.

TV shows: loooots of them (too many I think). Top five: The Wire, Rick and Morty, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Better Call Saul.

Movies: I have trouble picking some. The first DVD I bought was Minority Report. Land and Freedom is still one of my favorite. I love political/scifi movies: Pride, Alien, The Baader Meinhof Complex, Children of Men, etc.
