Hey there!

This is me, Hugo (18), from Germany. I'm fascinated by the world as well as the different cultures and people living in it.
A few years back I've already spent a couple of months as a student in Canada. This time has taught me a lot about how to connect with people from foreign countries and make the most out of a trip. But I believe it is also the reason why I signed up here: Before I go to film school or start a job, I want to take the time to meet as many people, explore as many cultures, see as many different things, and just get around as much as possible. My goal is to really connect with people, learn what their life is like as well as maybe share some of my culture.

I'm a creative and open-minded person and generally interested in a lot of stuff. What I don't already know yet, I'm eager to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a big fan of good movies. I’ve been successfully making short films for the past few years and would like to become a movie director one day. I don’t really have a favourite genre but I must admit I’m not a huge fan of fantasy or Marvel like movies, sry😂

Films I do like: Oppenheimer, Dying, A quiet place, Dunkirk, Shining, The Budapest Hotel, Us, Nomadland, Joker, Memento and Interstellar

With music I don’t really have a specific genre that I like. I listen to all kinds of different music depending on my mood. Can be HipHop/Rap one day and Jazz on the next

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Visiting the Tsaatan people, a nomadic reindeer herder tribe in the very north of Mongolia
-Wandering around on the frozen Atlantic in Canada
-Walking back to my Airbnb from a comedy club through downtown NYC at night
