I was born in a small town in Portugal, and at about 10 years old moved to a big city in Canada.

After one of my best friends took a trip to Australia a few years ago, I started thinking about how awesome it would be to go on a trip somewhere, anywhere, for an undetermined amount of time!

After paying off my student debts, I started saving up for a trip. Still unsure of where I'd go, and exactly when, I just kept saving everything I could by being as frugal as I could be.

This year, somewhat out of the blue, somewhat influenced by Shia LaBeouf, I decided to "just do it!"

So here I am, in Colombia, creating my Couchsurfing profile, travelling with that same best friend, and wondering what I'll experience, and who I'll meet next!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hostels have been great to meet other travelers, but it can be hard to meet locals that know the ins ,and outs of their cities/towns while staying at hostels. I'm on Couchsurfing to hopefully meet with locals that can show me, or teach me things about where they're from, that I might otherwise completely miss out on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my retail management job to take the trip I'd been dreaming of for years! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I actually love teaching! I volunteered as a teacher of intro to 3D animation, and Digital Video to students looking to take those courses in high school.

I still enjoy teaching people various digital media programs, as well as photography.

I also love to teach what I know about cooking, but even more so love learning from others, what they know about cooking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully good conversations, and good company. I'm also pretty good in the kitchen, and love cooking dishes from all over the world.
