Ahoy!

We are two mates Linus (German, 21) and Hugo (French and English, 24) on the pursuit to cross the alps by ski from east to west during Febuary and March. We are looking for some hot showers and a little bit of space to crash and take care of ourselves as well as our gear on our way across the Alps.

About us :
We met one year ago on some wild adventures in the northernmost town in the world up on Svalbard. Linus was studying snow science and glaciology, whilst Hugo was studying Arctic Nature Guiding taking a gap year from his engineering studies. We soon became close ski and adventure buddies and now that we're both back in mainland Europe, decided to embark on a big adventure in the Alps together this Winter.

We plan to cross the Alps skiing as much as possible and winter camping for the most part. Hopefully getting to do some winter mountaineering and skiing in some sections along the way. We wish to share this trip with some company we will invite some friends along for individual sections (but not into your homes - don't worry).

PS: The riffle on the picture is not because we hunt (quite the contrary but it was our last resort defense against polar bears and is obligatory by law to have up there).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love the idea, Linus has been hosted many times and Hugo only a few times but it has always allowed us meet fantastic people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have ventured inside glaciers caves big enough that you could drive trucks through them. We have skinny dipped all the way to 80°N. Linus rode a tridem around the baltic sea this summer and Hugo went on kayak expedition surrounded by whales and all sorts of fantastic animals.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We will gladly help you in all ways possible, cooking, cleaning etc. Linus can also play you some music 🤫
