ABOUT ME

*! We also SPEAK FRENCH as our first language, but will write most of the description in english so must of you will understand :) !*

So let's start with the obvious : we are a couple, pretty sure you guessed it right. We believe we are easygoing persons, really enjoying sharing with others and get to know them, their experiences, their point of view, their stories. We think everyone out there has something to teach us that can improve the way we are as human beings.

We prefer much more having a conversation around a beer or a cup a tea instead of going out in clubs. We do like partying and enjoying life, but the «clubs» experiences are not the kind of situation where you can really exchange and get to know people, don't you think ? (personal opinion hehe). We do have strong interest in art and design of any kind which we could discuss hours with you if you're also an art & design enthusiastic. Cooking is a real pleasure for us : gastronomic and specialities meals but we also love the challenge of cooking with random and limited ressources. Music is also a big part of our life. I (Hugo) play guitar, piano, harmonica... and loves to try any instrument ! It would be such a nice experience to have a jam with another CSer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As we are lucky enough to be part of a student exchange between september 2013 and august 2014 in Switzerland, our participation is limited to be surfers for now. But we really want to share ideas with the hosts we'll met, talk about our experiences and learn about other's. Maybe show and speak about canadian culture, if you're interested about that, of course. As soon as we will be back in Canada, it will be a pleasure to welcome anyone and show them the city, the province, even the whole country we're living in... Ok, maybe the whole country is a crazy idea...but we have in mind to cross the country from East to West, so who knows, maybe you could be part of that trip !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, only few experiences on CS, but the ones we had were great and encourage us to keep doing it. Really looking forward to host people when we'll be back. CS experiences just inspired us so much as well as the people we met.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like most kind of movies, but maybe have a preference for movies that really touch us and inspire us. (Of course, it makes sense)

Into the Wild would probably be best exemple to describe what I (Hugo) like. But I'm aware I don't watch enough movies. Same problem with books, damn I'd like so much to have the time to read more...

As we said, music is a big part of our lifes. Always listening to something, specifically while working. We really enjoy all type of music. From Bon Iver to Coldplay to Macklemore to Active Child to Arcade Fire to August Burns Red to Underoath to Harmonium to Jimmy Eat World to Lord Huron to M83 to José Gonzalez to MGMT to Eminem to Neil Young to Rufio to Death Cab for Cutie...Well, you get it, you know what we mean. It would be so a pleasure to talk music with any of you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

GR221 Trail.

So, in fact doing the GR221 isn't so incredible...but we had this unexpected experience while doing it. First, doing it, we really felt «alive», full of freedom. Live one day at the time, without knowing exactly what will be tomorrow, without knowing exactly where you'll be sleeping at night. At one point, we really feared for our lives. Finally, we really got into so much states of mind and felt our life's perception really changed after this experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

We think that we have something to learn from every person we meet in this world. We believe this work in both ways and will be happy and please to talk and teach you about canadian culture (on the food aspect : it's not only about burgers :P, you know), or about design, art, guitar, or any other subject we know about.
