I grew up in London but studied in Edinburgh and then lived in Sweden for a year and a half studying and working. When I'm not playing board games (yes, that is one of my favourite activities), I like having adventures, and when I'm not having adventures, I'm busy making more useful things out of less useful things. I love people and I love science, so I love it most when people and science come together. That's why I work in medical research.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing many many years ago and had some people to stay with me. But then I didn't use couchsurfing for ages...no guests, and no hosts. Now I want to meet more people through couchsurfing and through travelling

Climbing...rock, ice or mountain. Weaving. Poi. STATISTICS (I really do love that). Board games, video games, any kind of games really... Travelling about to different places and meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is tricky cos there's just so many options. I find myself listening to Mattafix more often than I should though. As for books, it's Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy all the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Built a raft out of salvaged materials found in a small town in the North of Sweden and rafted down a river for several weeks. Still aiming to make it out to the sea...

I want to learn everything!!! And in return I can teach some things. Statistics (did I mention that yet?), science, weaving. Basically anything I'm interested in. On a more wholesome note I'm happy to teach people about what it's like being me :-)
