About Me

Originally from Portugal, I have been living in Switzerland for the past 3 years. I love to travel, meet new people, have new experiences. I am also passionate about photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people, visiting new places, learning about other cultures, trying new foods, experiencing new things. Those are things that I am passionate about so I think Couchsurfing is a great way to do that.

Interests

I am crazy about being in the middle of nature so hiking, running and/or cycling are pretty much a must almost every weekend.

Also love traveling and walking randomly around new mountains, beaches or cities, preferably with a camera always at hand. However, no touristy crap...I hate it with a passion! Traveling for me is about listening to the sounds, seeing daily life, meeting people, experiencing things the way locals do.

Music, Movies, and Books

You just have to go and watch 1917. The hype is deserved, really. Also into older movies, BW and all 🤷🏻‍♂️. When it comes to books, I tend to read about history, historical fiction (think Pillars of the Earth), science, environment. Things like Sapiens, The God Delusion, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent a couple days with a Hmong family in the north of Vietnam. The husband wasn't in very good health so they performed a shamanic ritual right there...sacrificing a pig some chickens while the shaman sung and played some weird instruments 😱

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you a language? Be it Portuguese, French or English (but I doubt you'll need the latter since you're reading this 😅). We can also go do some outdoors activities or go on a photo tour. If the weather isn't great, we can also enjoy coffee and talk about the world and our lives.

Countries I’ve Visited
