About Me
Portuguese yuppie discovering the world with a little help of couchsurfing :)
In 2013/14 I had one of the best times of my life while experiencing an exchange program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for 6 months. On the last one I went on an adventurous road trip on my own, backpacking throughout incredible cities in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguai. The amazing people I met and the places I saw really made me want to repeat this kind of experience over and over again.
I'm an easy going guy who enjoys to travel and to visit those amazing spots with amazing views; to meet new people and to learn about their culture, aspirations and dreams.
I love to think we're not here by chance and that all things we meet in life come for a reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the concept of people sharing their places, time and dedication to each other. I love the humanitarian experience you get from it. You create memories for life with people you won't forget.
Couchsurfing is way more than budget traveling - although it is awesome for that as well - it really is a way of travelling. My kinda way!
(I only wish I had my own apartment to host more often. One bedroom only isn't always the best to offer but sometimes it's manageable)
Interests
I'm open minded, with a socialist view in politics discussions.
I enjoy many sorts of music and I love going to live shows and music festivals. Fortunately, Portugal has a lot to offer in that matter so I've seen almost every band I love #blessed
I liek to follow technology trends, arts (from classical to contemporary), design, photography, films, books... indeed, all creative forms of art and communication.
Since I went to Brazil and had such a deep contact with wild exotic nature that I'm into visiting this kinds of places. In 2015 I backpacked (alone again) a little through Thailand and Myanmar. I really miss those feelings.

Music, Movies, and Books
Beyoncé's is inevitably our contemporary's God so, no questions on that.
Besides that, mostly everything from Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Beach House... Kanye West, The Weeknd,... to other pop singers just for the fun.
Movies... Well I love cinema so to choose one movie would be impossible. I really liked the Knight of Cups (Terrence Malick) but some people hated it. Recently I lso liked The Lobster (Yorgos Lanthimos) and Youth (Paolo Sorrentino).
Recently I decided to watch one more time the Schindler's List, the Interview with the Vampire and Fight Club. Love them!
My favourite book is definitely 1984 (George Orwell).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Perhaps swimming totally naked in the Parana river, which is the boarder between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. I remember it was a truly amazing and emotional feeling of freedom.
Last year I went to the Phi Phi islands in Thailand and to Bagan in Myanmar (a land of thousands of millennial temples). I really fulfilled some of my wildest dreams.
