I am single and currently residing in Argentina. I am an avid tango dancer and enjoy exploring different cultures and ways of life.

As a teacher, I have developed excellent communication skills and have a strong appreciation for different perspectives. I am respectful, friendly, and always eager to learn and help others.

When I travel, I love to immerse myself in local customs and traditions, and I always seek to leave a positive impact wherever I go. Whether it's through making new friends, trying new foods, or simply enjoying the beauty of my surroundings, I believe that travel is one of the best ways to expand our horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As a traveler and lover of new cultures, Couchsurfing has been a great way for me to connect with local communities and experience a city or town in a unique and authentic way. I've had the opportunity to stay with some wonderful hosts who have opened their homes and their lives to me, and I've made memories and connections that will last a lifetime.

Some of my favorite Couchsurfing experiences include staying with a family in Dalkey, Ireland who shared with me traditional food from both Argentina and Ireland and introduced me to the local culture and history. We also went out to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and historic ruins of the area.

Overall, I have found Couchsurfing to be a truly enriching experience that has added so much to my travels, and I look forward to continuing to use the platform to connect with people from all over the world.

Interests

Traveling and experiencing new cultures: I have a deep love for exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures. Whether it's wandering the streets of a bustling city, trying new foods, or meeting local people, I always feel like I learn something new and valuable from every trip I take.

Dancing Tango: Tango has been a passion of mine since I was a child. At home, I used to listen to tango music and watch my family dance. I find great joy in attending tango events and workshops, as well as practicing with others. There's something so beautiful and expressive about this dance, and I love the connection it creates between partners and the musicality that brings it to life.

Trying new foods and exploring local cuisines: Food is one of my favorite parts of traveling, and I love trying new dishes and ingredients from different cultures. From savory stews to sweet pastries, I'm always eager to taste something new and explore the flavors of a new place.

Reading and learning new things: I have a curious mind and love to learn new things, whether it's through books, online courses, or just chatting with someone knowledgeable about a subject. From science to history to self-improvement, there's always something new to discover and explore.

English Literature: As a teacher of English Language and Literature, I have a deep love and appreciation for literature. I find great joy in exploring the works of classic authors such as James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, as well as contemporary writers like Toni Morrison and Salman Rushdie. I'm especially fond of the works of Joyce, particularly "Dubliners" and Wilde, particularly "The Picture of Dorian Gray." Whether it's through reading or teaching, I find that literature has the power to broaden our perspectives, challenge our beliefs, and connect us to our shared humanity.

Meeting new people and making connections: I believe that the people we meet in life have a profound impact on us, and I love meeting new people and making connections. Whether it's through travel, or just striking up a conversation with a stranger, I always find great joy in getting to know others and learning about their lives and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Books:

English literature, including the works of James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, and Toni Morrison.

Classic works of fiction, such as "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift and "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe.

Political fiction, such as "1984" by George Orwell.

Non-fiction books on a wide range of subjects, from science and history to psychology and self-improvement.

Overall, I have a deep love for all forms of artistic expression and am always looking for new and interesting things to explore and enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had the opportunity to experience the culture and way of life of different countries, including a great stay in Dublin, Ireland where I was able to enjoy the local landscapes and historic ruins.

Dancing tango has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I've had the chance to improve my skills and participate in local events. The energy and connection of tango, as well as its rich cultural history, continues to inspire me.

As a teacher of English language and literature, I've been able to share my love of the subject with countless students. Whether through discussing the works of James Joyce and Oscar Wilde or exploring the themes of political fiction like "1984," I've had the chance to make a difference in the lives of others and foster a love of learning in those I teach.

Overall, I feel grateful for these experiences and the opportunities they've provided to learn and grow.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
As a teacher of English language and literature, I'd love to share my knowledge and passion for the subject with others. Whether it's helping someone improve their language skills, discussing the works of James Joyce and Oscar Wilde, or exploring the themes of political fiction like "1984," I'm always eager to share what I know and help others grow.

Learn:
I'm always open to learning new things, and I believe that travel is one of the best ways to do that. I'd love to learn about the local culture, history, and cuisine of the places I visit, as well as gain new perspectives on the world. Whether it's through chatting with locals, attending cultural events, or simply observing daily life, I believe that every experience has the potential to be a learning opportunity.

Share:
In addition to teaching and learning, I also believe that travel is an opportunity to share experiences with others. Whether it's sharing a meal, discussing common interests, or simply enjoying the company of others, I believe that human connection is at the heart of what makes travel truly meaningful. I'm always eager to share my experiences with others and create memories that will last a lifetime.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I'm always eager to contribute to my hosts' experiences in any way I can. Whether it's through cooking a meal, sharing my knowledge of literature and language, or simply being a good conversationalist, I believe that travel is a two-way exchange that should involve mutual benefit. Here are a few specific things I can share with my hosts:

A love of tango: Dancing tango has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I'd be eager to dance tango and visit a milonga with my hosts. I'd be happy to share my appreciation and passion for the dance with others. Whether it's through a discussion of the music, culture, or history of tango, I believe that this art form has the power to bring people together. I would love to experience this with them.

A desire to learn: I'm always open to learning new things, and I'd be happy to learn about the local culture, history, and cuisine of the places I visit. Whether it's through chatting with my host or simply observing daily life, I believe that every experience has the potential to be a learning opportunity. I would love to learn from them.
