ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Hugo! I have been in CS from the very beginning and through the years I had wonderful experiences here and met awesome people. I am a calm and easy-going person who loves traveling over all. I have been working in the hotel industry from 2009 till 2021, worked as a hotel GM in Barcelona for the last 4 years of my career and then I decided to make my dream true and travel around the World. Now I'm back to my hometown, Jerez, a sunny beautiful city in Cádiz, Andalucía.

Years ago, I also graduated as IT engineer at the University but never really liked it.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have been part of this idea for many years, when we were just a few CouchSurfers. The community grew a lot quickly and then went down, kind of loosing the original spirit.

I try to keep it the same way it was at the beginning, helping fellow travelers, hosting always that I can and sharing my experiences with those I am lucky to meet during my trips.

Hosting and been hosted have always been cool experiences. CS is a great way to meet up great people from all over the world.

Interessen

My main interest is traveling. I am always willing to hear stories about people who live in another countries or those who have been travelling in countries I would love to visit.

I also love reading, sunny days, hiking, grilling food :), trying local foods, views from balconies, beer, photography, rollerblading, riding bicycles, nature, animals, DRAGON BALL... and I love CATS!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

- I left everything behind, quitted my job and went traveling around the world with my girl from october 2021 to december 2022.
- Went out from a 100ºC sauna and jumped into the frozen sea in Finland :D
- My eurotrip 2008, my first long solo trip.
- Sky-diving, bungee jumping !!
- Swimming in a hot river in Iceland
- Visiting the Canadian Rockies, Grand Canyon in the US, Chichen Itza in Mexico, the Pyramids in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Perú, Tikal in Guatemala, Perito Moreno in Argentina, Torres del Paine in Chile, Uyuni in Bolivia, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Camping in the Omani Desert... And many many others that are now in my heart.
