Hola compañeros!

I'm Hugo, 32. I grew up in France (Lille) and I live in Spain since 2013.

I studied Intercultural relations and languages in France and Spain, and as a student I did several internships in cultural organisms in France and Mexico untill I graduated in 2012.

Even if i'm not living in my original country for some years, I really love plenty of aspects from french culture, historic heritage and traditions. I needed to go around and see how things are in other places.
That's why after graduated I decided to continue exploring. I moved to Italy as a challenge and decided to stay enought time to learn the language. I found a french teacher position in a Linguistic Hight School and work there for a year. Then I moved to Madrid for the firt time and continued teaching my mother tongue in public school and private languages accademies. Then, I felt attracted by andean landscapes and cultures so I moved to La Paz, Bolivia and stayed 2 years, working s a travel agent for a receptiv tourism agency.

As you can imagine, I am pretty fond of languages and cultures. I've always tried to get some personal and professional experiences that could allow me to learn more about the cultural aspects of each country I've been discovering. In South America, I've experimented for the first time some diferent ways of travelling, such as hitchhicking, CS, sailing, voluntary work... but also other way of thinking, a new degree of relativity that maybe helped me to see things with more patience and from another point of view.

When I'm travelling, I like to go to museums, visit cities walking, explore markets, eat everywhere, ask people the name of the stuff I see and taste, buy old books from the place I'm and read them in the night bus, ask for any musical and folklorical manifestation it could have while i'm here, make plans with travelers I meet to go and visit something and share good moments with beers. I also like camping, especially on coast and sea area.

When I'm not travelling, I like to study (recently I began to learn Arabic), practice sports (basketball, football, swinmming), go out for some concerts or party, cook, practice instruments. When I'm not travelling for too long, I begin to feel frustrated and bored... When I receive people at home, CS or personal friends travelling, it is a little bit like travelling myself :)

My first experience of CS as a traveler was in 2014 when I went to Uruguay. I really enjoyed it because I shared very nice and sincere moments with hosts and CS comunity. Most of them were big travelers themselves, everybody with such differents profiles, social categories, origines, professions.... always with a very nice mentality, curiosity, open minded attitude and generousity. I first hosted after this trip and the experience was also very positive.

Of course it is nice to rest money staying with locals, but it is not / shouldn't be the main reason we do CS. I would say sharing experiences and realities makes it much more worthy. Those moments are the details you remember the most when you think about your past trips, so that's why it is nice to me.

Sharing my experience of Spain and Madrid to travelers is something I Like. Why do I live here, the aspects of the city I like, those that I don't and of course the things I still have to discover from it.

音乐、电影和书籍

I like music. I listen to something almost all day long. I can be be music but also radio (it helps me with languages). I'm fond of traditional and popular music (Morna, Flamenco, Cumbia, Vallenatos, Tango, Salsa, Java, Variétés, Rap, Reggae, even techno music....) I'm quite open minded.
I read by period. 2 o 3 books in one month and then nothing for 6 month. Normally I read when I'm travelling.
I like cinema. I like to see some movies I really like several times a year! Mexican cinema, old school french movies, mafia classic movies....
