Overview
About Me
I grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of Tauranga New Zealand. I moved to the deep south to go to University in Dunedin in 2015. So far I have travelled to China 3 times for rowing, Vanuatu, Vietnam, and Austrailia. I have also been lucky enough to have New Zealand as my backyard and spend a lot of time exploring it. I have rowed for 9 years and love to get involved with sports. Surf lifesaving was also one of my many hobbies, as growing up in a coastal town made it basically mandatory.
I love meeting new people and learning about the different ways people live. On my mother's farm, we often have people staying from the helpex website and I find it normal coming home to a house full of wonderful strangers from all around the world. My father lives on a sailboat and we have spent a lot of time sailing around the islands up north.
I am always keen for an adventure and love the stories that come with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would much prefer to sleep on a floor and be able to meet wonderful people from the places I visit and get a true experience of the country. I believe travelling is an experience that should be made by meeting people of the country not just visiting the sites. To really understand a countries culture you need to meet the people.
