About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Help bring solar-powered Personal Rapid Transit to Massachusetts. Create illustrated walking tour maps of Hull. Create a path to the Straits Pond Island as part of protecting land along the Weir River Woods.

ABOUT ME

I live in Hull, a peninsula that closes in southern Boston Bay. I am interested in helping stabilize the world's climate by working at a local level to establish 100% local clean energy. I am working on creating a JPods Solar Personal Rapid Transit system in the Boston area. I am grateful to have an electric Local Use Vehicle (that looks like a golf cart but is street legal).

PHILOSOPHY

Begin with gratitude. Gratitude brings more good things into life.
Love is the most important thing in the universe.
Everything is a gift. Look for the gift.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My partner Michael, who passed on in July 2017, and I have had more than 17 couchsurfing visits , which we have enjoyed very much. Right now I have several housemates living with me, which may limit my ability to host you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Michael and I stayed at three homes and greatly appreciated the hospitality we experienced. My younger son Blake Wiers in San Francisco made a movie called "The Three Month Rule" about a couchsurfer. Prior to joining CouchSurfing, our experience was with staying with family.

Interests

Enjoying the beauty of our world.
Riding electric-assist bicycles and street-legal electric Local Use Vehicles as our main means of transportation.
I am an artist. I have made illustrated walking tour maps of Hull. I draw portraits, paint watercolors and have written, illustrated and published a fun children's book called "nan-tas-ket aa-buh-cuh" which opens the door to reading. I participate in hullartist.com open studios.

Why Buddhism is True: The Science and Philosophy of Meditation and Enlightenment by Robert Wright, It's Not Dark Yet by Simon Fitzmaurice, and The Destiny of Souls by Michael Newton

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped start the Hull Lifesaving Museum, save Hull's Paragon Carousel and acquire an entrance to Hull's Weir River Woods.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share what I know about alternative energy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would enjoy drawing a pencil portrait of someone for you.
