About Me
Hello! My name is Humberto, but you may call me Beto for short. I'm currently a teacher at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach teaching history. Most of my days are spent lesson planning, help high school students in their homework or college applications and of course teaching history. I enjoy hiking and camping year round. I also enjoy going on adventures all over California. Recently, I came back from Europe backpacking through 9 countries. It was the best experience I ever had in a long time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read anything. Big time Harry Potter fan. Star Wars fan since I watched all the movies and shows. Love to read comic books, graphic novels. A big fan of Supernatural and Walking Dead and also Big Bang Theory
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove up HWY 1 from Long Beach to San Francisco for 5 days. It was the most amazing experience I have ever done. I stayed at Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, and San Francisco. I stayed at hostels in each of the cities and meet so many college students and travelers around the world. I loved doing random pits stops along the coast and take pictures and explore.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am currently a history teacher at a high school in Long Beach. I teach Modern World History and Government. I love every minute of it and totally worth it.
I love to share my experiences of my travels and the places I have explored. I am really knowledgeable of the Los Angeles area and can recommend better places than just the Hollywood sign.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am clean and pick up after myself. I can do things alone where ever I am or join up with other people if I am invited. I can cook really good meals from simple ingredients. I always ask questions so I do not cross any boundaries.
