About Me

I'm a South African and a musician, I've played guitar and bass for a few years now and I just want to explore the world outside of my little bubble. I'm open-minded and the kind to be outgoing nd boisterous. I love life and I've decided it's about time I really start living it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't traveled much, period. At a stage when I was much younger, just coming into teens, I constantly thought of the idea of one day becoming rich and seeing the world (Don't we all..) You could say I'm a bit more... grounded? I actually came across Couchsurfing by accident, googling "How to road-trip for free." Well, enough about that, I mean I do still have the wish to see more of the world and see it more frequently, I think this community wouldn't be such a bad place to start. I want to travel and not in the way that I see places but not experience them, I'm hoping that through Couchsurfing I can really get the chance to see AND experience some of the places I only know of because I see them in my head.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music:
- Coldplay; Alter Bridge; Tremonti; Lighthouse family; A-ha!; Myles Kennedy; ADTR; BMTH; Aerosmith; Wiz
Khalifa; The weekend; etc......

Really, I want to be generous and say I have a pretty open variety when it comes to my taste in music, I used to listen to other artists like Slipknot and Suicide Silence a lot more frequently as well but maybe I'm getting "old", I don't really listen to that heavy, metal anymore. Take it with a grain of salt, the right song goes with the right mood haha.

My favourite movie ever has to be "I am legend" Don't ask me why it just is. I watched it many times as a kid, my parents were never ones for trying to make me abide by much, just that I am a good person to others and don't swear (Although I'm quite fluent in the latter today...) So they never really stopped me from watching something even if it were pg rated for adults or anything like that. The second favourite would probably be Deadpool 1, I watched it on Valentine's day in 2015 with someone who was really important to me and I think that they made it even more captivating to watch, I love the witty humour and stark remarks, there is no fourth wall to be found here. POSSIBLE DEAL BREAKER ahaha... I've never seen any of the star wars movies, not even the recent ones. So feel free to educate me. I also like Dexter and Breaking bad

I'm a huge fan of the Marvel cinematic universe and really wish DC would try a wee little bit harder, I'm also into the Marvel series like Daredevil, The Punisher and what have you.

I really like the Percy Jackson series, I read that many times over, also the Dexter series. I've read a lot of the Assassins creed books as well

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wish I could immediately think off the top of my head about something amazing I've done, I would say something that I feel is almost amazing, is when I went down to Fisherhaven in Cape Town to visit my Aunt, I had a really wonderful time there and the town Hermanus is truly so beautiful, I feel like I found a piece of myself there which I have been struggling to find within me for a very long time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An extreme love for music, I started learning to play guitar when I was 13, initially, I just thought it looks cool and that maybe I'll end up looking cooler. It turned out to be so much more than that. I have been actively playing in the band at my church for well over 4 years or so, they also taught me further down the line how to play the bass guitar. I believe I can share a good conversation and an open mind, I want to give and receive good energy, I believe I can have a conversation about almost anything and that I am very easily approachable, I am also very helpful and attentive if I can get the chance to help with anything, I probably will. Just because that is the kind of person I am.
