About Me

Hey guys! I’m new to couch surfing but have heard great things about it from my friends and other travelers I’ve met. So far on all of my travels, I’ve just stayed in hostels, but now I’m looking for a new kind of social experience. I currently just finished my 3rd semester of grad school abroad in Wroclaw, Poland, and am planning on traveling for the whole summer. I did my bachelors at East Carolina University in the U.S., and majored in Foreign Languages- German, so if you’d like help learning German, I can help you with that! I would say that I’m a very outgoing and friendly guy. I keep to myself and have respectable morals for others. I’ve had roommates all my life and so far never any problems. I’d really like to get to know new people, so feel free to message me with any questions :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would say the main reason I’m here is to meet people to be honest. I’ve already traveled to 22 countries and really want to keep on going, but want to venture out of the whole hostel experience a little bit. I think couch surfing provides a more one on one way to get to know other people and their cultures first-hand, whereas in a hostel you’re more prone to meeting other foreigners. My major really focuses on aspects of foreign cultures, and this really fuels my drive to continue traveling and learning about new cultures all over!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

22 countries so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m a Global Ambassador at my university at home, which means we share our study abroad experiences with other students on campus. So far I’ve studied abroad 4 semesters total. 3 of them in Mannheim, Germany (2 semesters in undergrad, 1 in grad) and one semester in Wroclaw, Poland.

I’m also a German tutor for our tutoring center at my home university.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I share a lot of things with my hosts. I know a lot about foreign cultures/languages/affairs and would really be interested in getting to know my host’s interests as well.
