About Me

CURRENTLY: Taking a 90-degree turn towards Graz for the sake of perspective and adventure, plus finishing my Bachelors degree in Psychology. My plan is to dive in as deep as possible and see what happens!

In regards to the bigger picture, I have been living in the heavenly state of Montana since 2009, minus a 1.5 year stint in Nashville, TN in 2014.

What keeps me curious: Good people and good music

In my free time, I'm likely fly-fishing on an obscure mountain stream, in line for some ice-cream, at a cafe trying to wrap my head around the exponential nature of technological advancement, cooking with friends, or playing/writing songs.. I also like to hike, bike, read, nerd out of neuropsychology research, and somewhat into meditation and yoga:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

WHY AREN'T I ALREADY ON COUCHSURFING?

Having a place to stay and great people to connect with, for the price of nothing??

Before arriving in Graz, I spent the last month of my time in MT staying with my Bandmate, Jed. Jed just so happens to be one of the top host in our town; While I was crashing under his roof, I had the truly amazing opportunity of meeting some of the most interesting and kind people...

I was inspired by the selfless and community-minded mentality present in all of the surfers, and I wanted to be apart of that.
I want to host people and assist in making their time in Graz as awesome as possible!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Too Many to choose from! As a musician, music is always making different faces at me. I'd like to say I listen to everything under the sun, but that is not the case. However, I'm always trying to widen the spectrum, and I have found that I appreciate certain genres that I couldn't imagine listening to 3-4 years ago. As long as the music gets me moving and feeling, I'll tune in!

If I could have 4 records, only 4 records for the rest of my life.... Neil Youngs "After the Gold Rush," My Morning Jacket's "It Still Moves," the Black Keys "Thickfreakness" and Townes Van Zandts "Live at the Old Quarter"
and I'd prolly try to sneak "Get Rich or Die Tryin"

Books: Native Son, Grapes of Wrath, As I lay Dying, The Road, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Man's Search for Meaning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well.. this would take more time than I have at the moment to consider.
oI have been fortunate to do/participate in many amazing things so far! I'll have to get back to this later!

* I did once get charged by a Grizzly Bear and I survived!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am in Graz/Europe to learn from YOU ultimately, however, I would happy to teach you a few licks on the guitar, or my loosely understood ways of writing a song!
