Why I’m on Couchsurfing

to see the other side of things! new people are my favorite part of traveling and getting the local aspect of a place simply cannot be beat. Also, someday I will pay rent and have my own place again and cannot wait to do my own hosting...

Interests

I like reading, hiking, participating in something a half-step outside of my comfort zone and getting a little sweaty doing it.

Music, Movies, and Books

For reading I seem to bounce between sic-fi and historical fiction. I sometimes wish I had more varied reading interests, but I'm afraid I just don't. Dune and Shogun are the top two. I also like Motown music and anything Christopher Guest directed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, when I was little, Dave Thomas of Wendy's fame gave me a high-five at a hockey game.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play guitar, write a lengthy feature piece, code a website, design a logo and cook a steak medium-rare. these are things I made some semblance of a living on in the past.
