Getting through grad school!

ABOUT ME

I'm a doctoral student at the University of Notre Dame, which keeps me pretty busy. However, with going to school as well as doing research (and then presenting it at national and international conferences) comes the opportunity to live in and travel to many exciting places, which I admit is the best part of pursuing this career.

In my spare time I really like to read (favorite are John Grisham and Agatha Christie), hang out at the beach and play with my two litte balls of fur (otherwise known as Bailey and Ginger).

Even though I am more or less a CS virgin, I love to travel and the idea of discovering new places. Nothing scares me more than the thought of looking back at my life knowing that I haven't seen as much of the world as I could possibly have.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing out of the ordinary. But what I am generally thankful for is that I have been able do accomplish most of the things in life that I wanted.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to meet people who have a similar approach to experiencing new things. I usually prefer to stay with(and host)those who prefer to have a relaxed conversation as opposed to people who always need full action. When I visit new places, I don't care about partying the night away in the hippest club in town, but prefer to learn about the place by both playing tourist but also learning about it by seeing the parts that are not necessarily a tourist attraction. When I stay with people, I most certainly do not expect them to provide full entertainment, but I would love to hear their story and what got them to where they are in life (and place they currently live).
