Hello! I'm Huzaifi, you can just call me Huz (:

I've got 1 last year studying Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore before I graduate! I just finished a studying abroad in California, currently travelling around the States.

I have 2 kittens, which I haven't met yet because my family adopted them only after I left for the States ): I'm a huge fan of pettable animals. Birds are okay too, I've nursed about 4 back to health because for some reason, they keep crashing near my home.

I've previously worked as a fireman in a fire station during my National Service (mandatory 2 year service for all Singaporeans).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people, to exchange experiences and cultures. You haven't truly visited a country unless you talk to a local there.

Interests

I enjoy doing sports. I run/cycle every week and I've been playing floorball for my school and club since I was 14, as a goalkeeper. We have a league back home, I play for one of the top few clubs and we have a game every weekend for about 4 months a year. I also do some coaching occasionally

I own a motorcycle! Even though Singapore has a pretty good transportation system, I enjoy having the freedom to go anywhere at any time. There's nothing better than being on two wheels, feeling the breeze on your face.

I used to run and cycle a lot. Completed my first marathon (42km) back in 2014 under 5h. I still occasionally do runs, but just not as passionate anymore.

I can juggle 2 and 3 balls. Still haven't managed to get up to 5 balls yet. I own a unicycle as well, I'm still slowly trying to figure that out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17, I spent 10 days hiking in the Alpine National Park in Victoria, Australia. It was an amazing experience, being out there in the wilderness with your friends, huddling together for warmth at night and watching the shooting stars together.

One of the highlights was waking up at 3am in pitch darkness to complete the 2000m summit to catch the sunrise!

Represented Singapore in the 2019 World University Floorball Championships in Poland!
