Overview
About Me
Update: I and Stephanie are back in the Himalayas and looking forward to hosting again!
My name is Huzefa and I am traveling around the world since May ‘17. Traveling has made me a better person as I have become more self aware of my actions, thoughts and emotions, thanks to all the wonderful positive people I have been fortunate to meet!
I am interested in knowledge and epistemology - how we know what we know. I am studying human cultural evolution and history of science and my background is in Mathematics. I am currently exploring non verbal communication in humans and other animals.
Before the trip, I lived for 2 years in a tiny Himalayan village with population of less then 20. I love outdoors and enjoy skiing, climbing, barefoot running, horse riding and scuba diving.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although we have books and internet as a means of sharing knowledge, it cannot replace the thrill of first hand experiencing the world and meeting its people. CS (also hitchhiking & workaway) makes travelling in any place so much more intimate!
Interests
I love swimming in cold lakes and hot springs, feel of the ground under my barefoot, skiing on powder snow, sleeping out under a starry sky, smell and taste of good food, big glass of hot chocolate or bar of dark chocolate, solving logic problems, watching documentaries and listening to audiobooks.

Music, Movies, and Books
My fav documentary is Ascent of Man by Jacob Bronowski.
I enjoy reading and learning about new inventions and discoveries. Some of my favorite authors are Ayn rand, David Harriman, Monty Roberts, Richard Feynman, and Jacob Bronowski.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Become more self aware.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in learning how to build and work with things, starting from ancestral knowledge such as foraging, producing and preserving food, building simple tools and shelter, and working with animals to building modern machines such as a motors, computers and rockets.
My long term project is to create a new curriculum for homeschoolers (and other curious types) which teaches not just facts but how we humans figured things out.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook Indian food, bake cakes and share my energy bars recipes.
Talk about everything in the universe and share my perspective on things.
Help you in your work. I have ran multiple businesses including eccomerce.
