About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to listen to the world and all it has to share.

ABOUT ME

Female, 25: I am traveling across the universe one step at the time- a young and inquisitive wanderer. I love welcoming communities, art projects, good food and talking with people. Trying new things is one of my favorite hobbies... I love nature and trees- taking time to climb mountains and smell roses is a definite must in my life. I love learning new things about science and history and people and the world itself. It's such a fascinating time and place we share and I love exploring it with every chance I get.

PHILOSOPHY

Every day is a gift, every person a treasure, every life a journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed and have been surfed! I am forever grateful to each of my couch surfing hosts. They all have been wonderful and gracious and giving of their time and space. I believe in keeping hospitality karma on a roll- When possible I love to offer a place to stay and good food to eat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through CouchSurfers I have been brought to the hidden gems of the world- I have seen the chaos of Karnival, the Winnie the Pooh Street in Warsaw, the surfers in the heart of Munich, and have tasted the best doughnuts of my life.

Interests

ART everyday when possible, dance (my background is mostly contemporary/modern, but also dance history and a little ballet and greatly enjoy improvisation and just for fun dancing), traveling, communicating (it's through sharing ideas that people can grow and evolve), cooking (give me permission to cook in a kitchen anywhere and I would happily make a meal for you!), gardening, flowers, knitting (getting better with each project...), public parks and urban planning, warm socks, museums, libraries, storytelling,

Music, Movies, and Books

There's so much culture out there! Where to begin? I could read Hafiz poetry everyday until the cows came home. I am typically reading something- I have a love of the written word.

And music I am open to everything. Motown remains one of my absolute favorite genres namely because I love singing along to the oldies while cooking in the kitchen. I also have a strange affection for radio talk shows like This American Life on NPR.

Movies...I can't pick a few at the moment, but there are many good ones out there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recent amazing thing: hiked Blue Mountain in New York State. By the time I reached the summit, I truly felt like I had earned every ounce of sunshine in the sky and drop of water in bottle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook for people and I enjoy teaching people how to do very basic knitting. I always appreciate it when I am traveling when I can learn the basics in the language of the land that I'm currently in (please and thank you, etc.).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United Kingdom, United States
