Overview
About Me
Well was born and raised in Whitehorse Yukon, one of Canada's northern territories. It is a big place with a very small population (35k). I spend my summers fighting wildfires in the Yukon but I have been deployed to incidents across North America. The beauty of that job is that it is 6 month seasonal, so it gives me the entire winter to explore the world.
I love to explore new places, and find hidden gems off the beaten path. I am a avid snowboarder and generally love to do anything that get my blood pumping. I also have a very relaxed side that like nothing more than to curl up with a good book and spend the day reading in the sun. I am super chill, and am always excited to meet new people and make new friends.
This year I am embarking on my most epic trip yet. I have purchased a Volkwagen Camper Van and am making a road trip to Mexico. While the van allows me to be self sufficient, it will get lonely. So I need to meet new people, and experience as much of the US as I can before I start work in April.
Other than that not much to say, I love to tell stories and jokes. I love animals of all types and sizes and will adopt a new puppy to keep me company in the long journey ahead. Who know maybe you will get to meet us!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am going on a long road trip from Northern Canada to Mexico. This solo journey is going to to take me on a meandering tour down the West Coast and should take around 4 months. My biggest fear so far (aside from being lonely) is that I will miss out on sweet places and hidden gems. That's where all the beautiful people of Couchsurfers comes into play. You can help show me all the spots that others miss when they come through your town. Waterfalls, hikes, restaurants, bars, parks, anything that you think is a staple or unique to your town/state I want to see. If you are busy and cannot show me than simple human interaction will be enough for me. I want to get the most out of this trip as possible and I hope you can help me with that!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like pretty much all music, except for hardcore thrasher metal.
I have too many favorite movies to list, it is safe to say I will watch pretty much anything except for musicals. I am a huge sissy when it comes to horror movie, but I will watch them... if I have to.
I read lots of books, I am a fan of the Patrick Rothfuss, David Gemmel, Orson Scott Card and many others. I mostly read alternate history, fantasy and scifi books but I enjoy anything that has a good plot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled South East Asia and Parts of Europe solo for 6 months when I was 18.
Saved a 80 year old man's house, property and his life when I was a Task Force Leader for a wildfire in Idaho .
Manage to travel to a new place every year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people about Wildfire safety and how to go about protecting themselves and their love ones in the event of a wilfire.
I will never stop learning if people are willing to teach me.
I come from a very sharing family and community. In the Yukon winters everyone looks out for each other, it doesn't matter if they are friends or strangers. We have to be caring because of our unforgivable winters, where one mistake can cost you your life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be willing to share anything I have. whether it is the shirt off my back, or the sweat off my brow, ill share what I have.
