Just moved to Princeton for a new job. Trying to help create the energy technology to power tomorrow without destroying our environment.

I love traveling light and learning foreign languages (I'm functional in Italian, French, and Russian but I always try to learn the language wherever I am). I try to blend in when I go to a new place, but lean iconoclast at heart, whether home or abroad.

I love nature and am humbled by the opportunity as a scientist to expand our knowledge about it. I like opportunities for creativity. Interested in understanding others, peace, love, freedom... ya know, hippie stuff :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I have been using Hospitality Club/Couchsurfing for a while. I'm grateful it's enabled me to learn so much about different cultures and ways of life because of it and to share so many unforgettable experiences.

Back when I had fewer commitments, I used to travel a lot. Now I'm more tied down, but I can bring the world to me by hosting. :)

I had an American friend I lost contact with and thought I'd never see again. One day, at a metro station in Moscow, I was on the down escalator, and he passed me on the up escalator. Blew my mind.
