Hi, we are Matt and Hyemin!

We love travelling, meeting new people and sharing experiences and culture.

We first met in San Diego, California October 2016, while we were both travelling alone (through Couchsurfing🥰). We decided to travel together after and have been travelling ever since!

We have made our way through Central/South America, Asia, Europe, India and Australasia :)

We lived in New Zealand for a year working and traveling around in a campervan!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to meet people, share experiences and learn their culture.
Especially with people who are open-minded and welcoming others :)

We both love Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile and Brave Heart. All epic movies!
We love all kinds of music but especially reggae music :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We both quit our jobs in the UK and South Korea, to do more travels and see the world :D

We met through couchsurfing (hangout)❤️

We hitchhiked and camped along the coast in Chile (around 2,000 km)!

We climbed Acatenango in Guatemala, the third highest mountain in Central America and watched the volcano eruptions and lava melting!

We traveled around NZ in our van Ellie for 6 months!

We got engaged at the summit of Mt. Fuji in Japan

Hyemin - Walked all the way across Korea(East to West) for 11 days!

Hyemin - Have been keeping a diary for 10 years:)

Matt - Stayed in Brazil for the World Cup in 2014!
