Hello :)

My name is Hyesuk, and I'm living with my husband, Yujin and little girl, Soyu :)

It is our pleasure to have couch surfing experience, and we are looking forward to meeting many friends by couch surfing.

I studied Economics and Yujin mojored in Mechanical Engineering in college. After graduation, we both worked in Korea, but we quit for our long-term honeymoon :) After one and half year of travel, we came back to Seoul.

We only had couchsurfing experience in Iran and Mexico which was amazing when it comes to their hospitality and friendship. It is unforgettable, and it is one of our best experience.

We would like to share many things with you from our culture to our travel stories. We also would like to listen and learn from you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Our motto, or reason for traveling is 'Learning and Sharing'.
Learning from people in other countries, and new experience.
And I think couch surfing can be a good way to share and learn from each other.

1. We enjoy spending time together with our host or guests. And, we believe that it is a best way to understand the city and country.

2. We believe that relationship is the most important thing in our life.

Interests

Languages: I got certificated as a Korean language teacher, and i'd like to share and exchange culture and languges.

and I'm also interested in travel, history, culture, music, adventure, scuba diving and surfing.

Yujin

I am into meeting people in the different cities. I believe that relationship is everything in our life. So, it would be a great opportunity if we could get a chance to meet friends through couch surfing. My favorite part of meeting people is walking around the town and drink a cup of tea or coffee, having a good conversation. It is very exciting to know the city from the point of view of locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music

I listen some of korean music. I am not very familiar in western pop music.
But, I like some spanish music. 'Azul' is one of my favorite. I want to learn how to dance with salsa music too. I like singing but I am not so good.

Movies.

I like Korean and western movie both. I have watched a couple of movies for Mexico, Cuba. and I would like to know more about Central an South Americca.
'No se Aceptan Devoluciones' fue muy interesante y hermosa.
And, my favorite movie is 'About Time' because I like the story of the movie.

Books,
I like reading books but mostly I read korean book. I speak English and Spanish but reading a book in different language is very hard. I like reading books about History, Philosophy, Traveling, Buddism..etc..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our honeymoon Trip

We used to work in Seoul after our graduation. And, we both quit our job after our marrige in Oct, 2015. We thought that our life was only once and we should do something else instead of spending all our life struggling in our companies with Korean style hard work. We left Korea one month after our marriage. And we continued on traveling. It was not always easy and interesting but one thing we can sure is that we will never regret our decision as we have learned many things on the way from the people we have met.

Teach.
I can teach Korean Language for forigner.
I am familiar with Korean Recent History with North Korean Issues.
I am familiar with Chinese Philosophy and Buddism.
I am familiar with Traveling as a backpackers in different countries.
I used to play Taekondo in school. I can teach Taekondo for kids.

Learn and Share
I am practicing surfing.
I am playing football, tennis, table tennis.
I am into swimming, jumping in water, snorkling.
I can share Korean culture, Korean food, Korean music and movies.
I can share how to become a friend with Korean by Kakao talk (which is most common messanger for Korean)

What I Can Share with Hosts

All the things listed above.

We can exchange our idea on different culture.
We can cook some of simple Korean food if host or guest like.
