About Me

Hey there! I am from West Virginia, U.S. and I am on a mission to climb all over the world!! I just graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering and a degree in French. I love to highline and climb long, multi-pitch trad routes. Let's do something awesome!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in france for 10 months in 2015-16. I have a burning desire to get back out and explore. I want to climb the world. I am on Couchsurfing in order to meet people to climb with, play music with, do yoga with, and experience life with. I want to see how different people around the world live and love life. I want to be and feel a part of their equation, of our equation!

Interests

I love rock climbing, slacklining, playing music (drums, guitar, uke, sing), hiking and camping, cooking, concerts, real talk, adventure, learning, and speaking in French.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Grateful Dead, Ween, Pink Floyd, Tool, Radiohead, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Jack White, bela fleck, griz, les yeux d'la tete, serge gainsbourg, modest mouse, Paul Simon, Robyn Hitchcock, Stacy Kent, talking heads, tauk, acoustic and folk music, etc. . .
Movies:
Don't watch a lot, but: The Big Lebowski, LOTR, Star Wars, anything Quentin Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived? That was pretty amazing for me, anyway.

For others: I led an outdoor adventure orientation program for college students at my home university for two summers. We would rock climb, backpack, see the state, white-water raft, and the whole time it was a class for school and a way to develop school and state pride, as well as personal confidence and preparedness for school. That was and is one of the most amazing things I've done, as well as being a participant on the program: Adventure WV!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

My 3 greatest passions.

I love to share experiences with people in the outdoors. I love to guide and teach, as well as learn new ways of thinking and doing. I love to play music in groups and this is one of my favorite ways to share culture with others.

I also love to cook, drink wine, listen to music, and see things in a new way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my ukelele which always travels with me!

I can belay and lead trad and sport.

I can share a bottle of wine (or two?) and a few laughs.

I can share my thoughts on events and cultural differences I find in the world around me, as well as an open mind to your own own thoughts and experiences, if which I'd love to hear.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, Peru

Countries I’ve Lived In
