About Me

You Only Live Once. In this life of 100years, we gotta know where we live in, why we live and who I am. Likewise, in addition to wanting to become a world-citizen, I would like to broaden my perspective by traveling as I am studying architecture. I have been through sort of interesting experiences to be shared such as being in the US Army for two years, studying abroad in Poland and currently residing in New York! I am also interested in learning foreign languages especially Spanish and Chinese. Meeting new friends, enjoying conversation with booze are also my favorite things ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thought when you are traveling some place, it is much better to know local people than merely just staying at hostel. I can share my life experience with the host, and he or she can share their ones as well. I think advancing mutual understandings through the conversation is so crucial to learn culture and life! Also, a friend of mine recommended to me ;) (Actually we had couchsurfed twice together while we were traveling some European countries!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, I like pretty much all sorts of music but several years old ones lol. Pop songs, K-pop, few Chinese movie OST and Classic, oh my favorite classic music is Beethoven's 9th Symphony! Especially 4th movement. I luckily had a chance to watch the performance at the Lincoln Center few months ago, and it was SPLENDID!
I like watching movies too, but I like inspiring movie in terms of living attitude(?). So in such movies, basically the protagonist being used to have a really tough and hard time but eventually overcomes all the hardships and makes his or her dream realized. It is because I am very good at projecting myself on the character. :)
I always force myself to read against all the challenges like hanging out, smartphones, etc. I'd like to read inspiring sorts like I just mentioned above, and architectural theory & history books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a five week trip to the United states(San Francisco, San Jose, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago and LA) by myself. I met a lot of inspiring people learned some life lessons and decided to study abroad here, which became a reality I live in right now!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak Korean, English fluently, intermediate Spanish, and a little bit of a Chinese. Also I had practiced Taekwondo for three years and went to Europe to demonstrate when I was 13. Of course I haven't done the terrific Taekwondo move for a long while, I can teach you some as long as you are a novice :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life experiences, culture and languages! As a person who always tries to keep a sharp sense of humor, they would not be bored AT ALL lol. We can share some interesting memories!
