About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.

ABOUT ME

Just graduated from the University of Houston with my BA in creative writing and am head to grad school for my MFAW at the School at the Art Institute in Chicago! You would think being a writer that I would have to be creative, but I can't think of how to end this sentence. being a writer is like being unemployed, only delusional.
All jokes aside, I really am a learning addict. I'm a junkie when it comes to new information. If I don't get my daily fix, I eat ice cream... or something.
I'm also an avid improvisor! I love all things in the arts, and sociology.
Anyway, I like pretty much everything. I love to get out and do new things or just be involved. I am a positive feminist and body positive activist.
Lately, I have been dancing a lot- fifties, soul, swing, salsa. Anything really.
My cousin and I can host people on a varying schedule, so it will be hit and miss, but I won't flake on you after we've settled on something. I do highly prefer that you have your identity checked or a reference or both. If you don't have that but would be willing to provide me a reference in another way, that would be appreciated.
Anyway, it's time to take the cork out of my dinner. Happy travels!

PHILOSOPHY

In search of life- A bit Epicurean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very intermittently. It has always been a pleasure and delight, and I am still in touch with several of the friends I've made!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted several couchsurfers, and we have all had so much fun. I love this program because you get to meet people from all over the world and just have a fun relaxing time. But don't worry, if you prefer low-level interaction I am perfectly ok with that.

Interests

reading, writing, debate, people, sociology, improvising, singing, guitaring, learning, fun stuff.... you know the usual. I used to surf, but its been a long time. I like doing new things. Hiking is fun.... whatever you can think of, I will probably have fun. im pretty amiable

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My year in Germany was amazing and dear to my heart. I still love my host family. I also was lucky to travel to quite a few countries while in the Navy. I would have to say I had the most fun in Hong Kong.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what to put here. I'll teach anything I know. I'm an avid reader so I know a lot of weird things, and always love to learn new things. Whatever the subject, if someone is passionate, that interests me.
